insight emotion code heart wall sanctuary support peace

Right here, right now, take a moment, 20 seconds to close your eyes and picture this, FEEL this: the rhythmic flicker of candlelight, stillness, quiet, a beautiful aroma gently swirling through the air, your slowing heartrate, deepening breath down into your belly, illuminated moments of crystal-clear insights…PEACE. Not a creature is stirring…all is calm… These small grounding moments where all the elements merge into your perfect refuge like alchemy are precious and all too rare during the holiday months, just when we crave and need them the most.

I propose that you can intentionally create a cherished sanctuary [noun: a sacred or holy place] whenever you need one, so these peaceful moments begin to grow and weave through your life abundantly, providing small sacred havens of solace to nourish you soulfully.

Interspersed with resources from some of the special souls I’m most grateful for in my life, here are the most reliable ways I’ve found to cultivate your inner refuge as an ongoing sanctuary you bring with you everywhere you go, inspiring others to do the same (trusted & tested with clients, family, friends & myself!):

Clear Your Heart Wall

Everyone has a “heart wall,” Dr. Bradley Nelson discovered while formulating The Emotion Code®, a process of clearing trapped emotions from the body that contribute to physical ailments, disease, depression and other symptoms, and hold us back from achieving all we desire in life. Your heart wall is a protective defense accumulated through life as you acquire heartbreak, disappointments, disillusionment, grief and loss. You can clear it to allow in more abundant happiness, joy, fulfillment and improve your relationships. CLICK HERE to Clear Your Heart Wall with Me.

Tapping

This simple somatic exercise instantly calms and resets your nervous system. Sometimes called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), tapping for a few moments on key endpoints of the body also used in Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture provides release from stress and overwhelm, stimulates the flow of chi/qi/prana/lifeforce through your body, and takes mere moments. It provides instant first aid in moments of panic, stress and anxiety. CLICK HERE for more information on how to use tapping in your life. Journaling

The simple act of getting “stuff” out of your head and body and onto the page provides fast relief! The process of writing your thoughts will provide illuminating insights and discoveries. Grab a journal and pen or your laptop, and just simply let your thoughts flow onto the page. Release. There is no “right” or “wrong,” just get it out and see what comes through. Zoom in and zoom out on the small and larger picture. Ask yourself, “What’s going well for me?” Ask, “What do I need right now?” Ask, “How can I invite more of what I need into my life right now?” “How can I be the love and the peace that I seek?” You’ll be amazed at the answers you receive with regular practice. 5 or 15-Minute Daily Practice

Ideally, 15, but if you can just fit 5, that’s great! Take 5 (or 15) to get still. Sit or lie down quietly, take a few rounds of deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, repeat a simple mantra like Ham Sa meaning “I Am” (Ham – inhale. Sa – exhale.), or listen to a guided meditation, or luxuriate with Yoga Nidra for a rest that’s akin to a 4-hour nap! Ideally you take this moment of daily practice first thing in the morning, yet it can also be a source of solace any time throughout the day when you need stillness and a reset. Escape outside, shut yourself in a closet if necessary, sit in your car, or take a bathroom break, just take the time for you. Begin Each Day with Gratitude

Create a habit the moment you begin to rouse in bed, to immediately lean into gratitude. List everything that comes to mind. What are you grateful for today in yourself, in your life, in your kids, in your partner, your work, your friends and loved ones? List ALL the ways you are blessed. Run this list and FEEL it through every cell in your body. Adopt a Gratitude Glow! It’s a real thing, I swear. Then, get up and begin your day. It will be different, I promise. PS: the effects are cumulative & exponential. CLICK HERE to join the AMAZING Scott Moore’s Free Gratitude Challenge! Choose to BE LOVE

When you make the conscious choice to BE Love in every situation possible (not always possible, but choose to make this your aspiration and you’ll be surprised how often you hit the mark), it’s infectious and those all around are influenced, softened and often adopt this approach themselves. There’s something of great magnitude about working on yourself, making slight adjustments here and there: when you do your own inner work, you’ll start noticing positive shifts and growth in those around you, especially family. Healing is QUANTUM, it’s not one-dimensional or one-generational. Your healing work creates amplified healing through generations and for the world and Universe at large.
