Mindfulness Moment: We All Need a Support Staff for Happiness, Productivity and Health
Let’s face it: we all need a support staff if we’re to be mindful of our happiness, productivity and health. This powerful realization changes lives. It will change your life. It’s changed mine.
If you want to live at your highest potential day-to-day and reap the benefits of enormous success in the ways that are most significant, you must have skilled support by those who have traveled the path - by professionals who are experts in their fields.
Such professional allies can be coaches, mentors, teachers, mental health professionals, doctors & health professionals, among others.
Having this expert support will ignite your personal growth and development so it’s truly exponential and powerful, instead of a random meander. It gets you there light years faster, and you feel the effects from Day 1.
This is more empowering than I can write in words; you must feel and experience it to believe it.
These partnerships result in significant business/professional/personal shifts, they can help you find more inner peace as you heal the past, reach for & accomplish big goals, and assist you in getting very clear on exactly what you want and how to get it.
Every human being has old stuff, it’s part of being human, and I’ve come to believe that those who declare they’re free of life’s wounds, are the most affected by them and are frequently defensive. This holds people back, from every type of success and true peace.
My hired support staff currently consists of three powerhouse professional individuals who’ve come to know me quite well, and have steered me in the right direction from the first day we began working together. I also have a secondary tier of resources whom I consult for specific needs when they arise, but not on a regular basis. And I actively have teachers and teacher-student dialogue in my life, because learning is paramount to who I am and my evolution.
My team helps me reach places in my life I didn’t know were possible, years ago. They’re necessary to push me and challenge me in the right ways, and call me on my BS, with an abundance of compassion, love and kindness.
Your team is up to you. For me and many others, a Coach is a great place to begin. This work is undeniably impactful in getting you where you want to go in life, fast. It’s a shortcut of sorts, because it’s a direct road.
Along the road, a great Coach is able to identify and communicate if they see a barrier to your success that falls outside the realm of the Coaching relationship.
For example, Coaching is not therapy. While many times we discuss topics also covered in therapy, and there can be some overlap at times, the primary focus of Coaching is on the present and future. The primary focus of therapy is the past. It’s a very important distinction.
Your team will shift based on your needs and your growth. You will know.
One sign of a great Coach is one who’s able to be honest and make an impactful referral when needed for the client’s best interest, to maintain & increase the pace on the road to success.
A cornerstone of my practice is the strong connection I cultivate with other trusted professionals, to whom I refer clients when needed.
With a mindfulness mentality, what would your life look with with a handful of skilled professionals you trust implicitly, that you could access to increase your happiness, productivity and health? With this support, how would you feel facing challenges and seasons of ambiguity? How would it empower you to get out of your own way? I challenge you to begin small, and find one practitioner to support you in discovering your gifts and contributing them to the world. Please let me know what you learn!
